Life is fragile

The funny thing about life is that we often forget how important it is to be insignificant & meaningless. What I mean by that is simply that when we feel the most vulnerable and powerless we seem to forget the people in our lives that truly value our lives as important and significant. When it comes down to it, it’s in our own little microcosm were we make the most impact and become far more significant than we can ever understand.

I think of these things coming on 2 months after my father’s death,  a week after another death in the family and a chain of very strange dreams of death, despair and heart-wrenching change; last night’s dream involving someone I used to be very close to…once upon a time.

It would seem that as I get older I understand things a bit better. Oh sure, I still want to change the world, but am a lot more content (most of the time) to do so by starting with myself and those closest to me. It was once said, “the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.”
