Steve DeMott

musician, singer/songwriter, composer, audio engineer

Steve DeMott works as a musician, songwriter/composer, audio engineer and music director throughout the New York metropolitan area, and writes and records music for several Los Angeles based production libraries.

Steve began playing trumpet when he was eight, but it was at 15, when he took up the guitar, that he discovered his passion for songwriting. Steve has been in pursuit of "the perfect song" ever since. He eventually found himself in Boston as a songwriting major at Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft with the help of the writing department faculty, particularly Pat Pattison, Jon Aldrich & Jack Pericone. Steve’s music has been compared to John Mayer, Damien Rice, Jason Mraz, Alison Krauss, Sting, John Lennon & Jackson Browne.

In addition to trumpet and guitar, Steve's talents include: bass guitar, mandolin, ukulele & voice.

Steve's music can be licensed through these publishers: Purple Heather Music | Velvet Green Music | Pacific Sound House
